Known for their controversial advertisements that are often deemed too sexy and provocative, American Apparel has opted to go in a different direction this time. Instead of using a young, hip teenager posing in a suggestive manner, American Apparel casted Jacky. She is American Apparel’s first “advanced” model. Although her age is unknown, Jackie represents a totally new demographic that can now feel more comfortable stepping into an American Apparel retail store. And better yet, now us, millennials, can share clothing with our grandmothers.
